Article 5 - City Positions
Article 5, Section 1
City Positions will be nominated and voted on by the Council of Captains. Each position is held for (4) four years In Character or (1) one year.
Article 5, Section 2: Emissary of the City –
• Must be an Admiral
• Point of Contact for the City,
• Moderator to all CoC Meetings
Article 5, Section 3: Commander of the Watch –
• Head of the Arsenal Guard
• Head of the Council Guard
• Maintains the pirate Registry
Article 5, Section 4: Ambassador –
• Proposes Treaties or Alliances to the CoC for Ratification.
• Maintains Amiable Diplomatic Relations outside the City.
• The Ambassador role includes the right to vote by proxy (scroll) when attending to official city business.
The vote must be sent in to the CoC Scribe within 20 ahn before the start of the meeting.
Article 5, Section 5: Citizenship Scribe
- Fielding scrolls from prospective citizens who wish to swear to the Home Stone
- Maintaining the list of prospective citizens
- Coordinating swearing ceremonies.
- Act as alternate to the Council of Captains and Estate Scribes as needed.
- Disburses all swearing-in ceremony notices to prospective citizens and citizenry of Port Kar as well.
- Disburses new citizen announcements to the city at large upon completion of swearing-in ceremonies.
This position may only be forcibly vacated by a vote of the Council.
Article 5, Section 6: Council of Captains Scribe
- Receives all Grievances/Complaints and Requests to Appear before the Council.
- Recording the Council of Captains meetings in entirety
- Calling for and tallying votes at the direction of the CoC Moderator.
- Organizing the minutes of Council Meetings
- Compiling the Agenda for meetings under the direction of the CoC of Port Kar
- Disbursing scrolls to the Council of Captains regarding Council Business
- Act as alternate to the Citizenship & Estate Scribes as needed.
This position may only be forcibly vacated by a vote of the Council.
Article 5, Section 7: Estate Scribe
- Assists and liaisons with the Merchants & Builders in maintaining all deed records with regards to businesses, houses, lands and other properties.
- Acts as alternate to the Council of Captains and Citizenship Scribes as needed.
This position may only be forcibly vacated by a vote of the Council.
Article 5, Section 8: Magistrate
– A male member of the Scribes caste will be selected to act as magistrate in the event of a trial.
- will act as advisor to the Quorum of Seven in matters of the law.
- will present the final decision of the Quorum
